I love all you artists in the Alley at conventions, but there's something I must stress...HAVE CARDS or at least slips of paper with your printed contact information on them. I don't bring a lot of cash to conventions (mainly because I'm a self-employeed mother...which equals...short on cash). I only pick up cards/info sheets for people I actually intend to make a purchase from in the future or am genuinely interested in following their work. So I've been busy with Otakon preparations. I've been planning this trip since last year (like the day after it ended last year). I'm quite excited. I'll FINALLY be able to meet Caroline from 9th Elsewhere and will be cosplaying as Optimism from her webcomic (the new and improved version of Opti). I'll also hopefully find M. Alice somewhere because for once I think I'll act like a fangirl and ask for an autograph on my Volume 1 of Bizenghast (which has a delightful cover  design that I adore). So the community I'm the Admin for (Midwest Meets Far East) is in some serious need of a logo. I've decided the best way to accomplish my goal of getting one is to hold a contest since I have no artistic talent what-so-ever (except elephant butts). It would be nice for someone within the community would submit, but since there aren't that many active members, I don't see too many submissions.
